I’m not against sexuality in comics. I’m not against characters using their sexuality to their advantage. I am against creators warping characters into lifeless sex dolls for their amusement.

I want to read mainstream comics. I want to like them, but they make it so hard sometimes.

Damn I was just referencing this haha, Its also similar to the men as well so girls reading it has nothing to do with it, or maybe men just have better self esteem because of how we a brought up. Girls are the pretty guys are the hero so Im on the fence.

I don’t really think most comic books were ment for women’s eyes. From the way they Illustrate women in them… and the stories are a lot of the time very “macho-esque” (HAH made up a word). I don’t feel any different looking at comic books with sexy women who are half naked and such because I am used to seeing it. Plus im an artist and naked things don’t shock and/or disgust me.
well to tell u the truth… I always did wonder why the men are so ugly in comic books compared to the sexy women drawn in the story. I used to get so upset… I would think to myself… why is batman so ugly compared to cat woman! Why can’t I drool over batman! (smh) But the reality of this “issue” is that the majority (if u will) are men in the comic book industry… the writers, artist, etc etc… so what do you expect a man to write about… Ponies and butterflies? No! Manly stuff! So I would say… If woman wanna be respected I say women have to step up to the plate and create some good ass comic books! Not that mushy crap lol… like most anime/manga… It’s cute but nah… boring.

My opinion… I dont really care if a woman is depicted in that way cause I know i am not like that! So I don’t have to worry about anything… I would just tell the loser men who have this presumption of who I should be to back the f—- off and go to hell!…
I mean there were sometimes I felt awkward… but it wasn’t enough for me to go and complain about it…
Unless ppl step up (not complaining about it) but actually take the chance and make that awesome comic… that would be the time where women wouldn’t be depicted in that nature! I mean c’mon… what does I a guy know about being a woman… NOTHING!! Only that comics and Hollywood make them look sexy and stuff…

I wonder if a woman tried to get into this industry cause it seems unlikely that some didn’t try. Where are they and why cant they make it as big? I mean even if its sappy stuff……..ugh I just imagined twilight, but yeah even sappy stuff they should get a audience of some kind. Look at sailor moon and then Naruto for anime…where is the sailor moon for the comics side?
